Selecting The Perfect Queen Bed Frame

When it comes to bed frames, it would seem relatively easy to pick one out. Just walk in, pick the first one you see, buy it, and have it delivered. With all the energy and time you put into picking the most comfortable queen mattress, the bed frame doesn’t really seem like a big deal. When you’re looking for the perfect mattress, you have to lay on a lot of them, turn on them, go lay on another one, tussle about, and then find another one to lay on all over again. It’s definitely a process.

The queen bed frame on the other hand, doesn’t need human contact to determine its comfort level. Yet, the support provided by the frame can change the comfort level of the queen mattress you just bought. Box springs typically lie on the frame itself. The frame is usually a rectangular shape and a bit smaller than the box spring. This allows the mattress to get the all around support it needs without giving it cross section support.

Most bed frames have slats that shoot across the underside of the mattress included. These slats give the bed a firmer feel. Many people with neck and back problems often select slats because they provide a stronger platform for the mattress. This enables the bed to be stronger, which means there is less sagging and weighing down in the middle of the mattress.

Surprisingly to most people, is how much money can be spent on a bed frame in comparison to the cost of the mattress and box springs. But the thing is, you don’t have to go with this expensive option. Think about it; what are the major differences between a super expensive bed frame and a modestly priced frame? Mostly it’s just looks and marketing. Granted an expensive frame may be a little stronger, but not so much that it justifies the increase in price.

There are people that care about the way their bed frame looks. More than likely, your frame won’t be seen during the winter months when you have all of your blankets piled on top of your bed. However, you may be able to to see it on occasion during the summer months if you don’t hide the lower part of the mattress and bed frame with your comforter.

The way most people make up their bed never really allows the bed frame to show. Let’s be honest, no one will looking under your bed for no reason, so the likelihood of someone seeing your bed frame is slim to none. Your bedding ends up covering your box spring, frame, and also the space in between the bottom of your frame and the floor. That’s why it’s not really important what type of bed frame you opt for. So you can opt for a less expensive frame that normally wouldn’t qualify as upscale decor.

Around the planet, the standard frame sizes can vary by several inches. Now, there are frames that can be adjusted a few inches length and width wise to make sure that your bed will fit no matter where you purchased it from.

It’s kinda crazy to look back at history and realize that beds were once considered luxurious accommodations, reserved only for the wealthy. However, the queen bed frame is now available to everyone and has grown to become one of the most popular sizes in the United States.
